What is up with that burger picture? Please tell me that is not how the burger is served.
The gun law boggles my mind. There is over a 100 years of case law stating that state laws cannot supercede federal law. The MO Legislature passed this law to gain points with the NRA. Whatever side of the gun debate you are on, this should upset you. If Nixon signs this law, the Attorney General of MO will be meeting the Attorney General of the US in court. No legal scholar would give the state a sliver of hope of winning. In the meantime millions of tax payer dollars will be wasted on lawyer to play some stupid political game. I cannot think of a worse way to waste tax dollars.
That is Breastaurant (TM).

Now this is the chain I want to see come to KC. These guys are PR geniuses.
I know some great food photographers I can send in to take pictures of the food for you. Just kidding Pete. You are growing on me and I am going to have to come in and taste this food of yours.
Because whenever there is a story on Peanches, it receives at least a dozen comments and far higher than average views as people watch the comment section.
There is a limited pool of people in Kansas City that would drive to that location for dinner. Within that pool there are a limited number who would pay those prices for that dinner. This is the target market. I still think this market is big enough to sustain a restaurant. The people in this market tend to seek out the opinion of others before going to try someplace new. The real challenge is that over the last year there have been so many angry tirades that the word of mouth isn't about the food, but the chef. That word of mouth isn't good. I'm not just talking about Yelp reviews or the commenters here who show up in droves to be the one who inspires the next meltdown, it is the actual words of people who are asked "Have you tried that place on 39th street with the funny name?"
I'm not trying to egg you on Chef. I hear the food is actually quite good. The biggest impediment the restaurant has is not the reservation policy or the size of the kitchen staff. The problem is that you see people trying to get your goat and you serve it up to them with a side of expletives. I'm not a hater. I want to see you succeed, but the first step is to let your food do the talking. This is the best way to get people to forget the things that have happened in the past and judge the restaurant by the food instead of the tirades.
Re: “KC Pride Festival 2013? Yes, it's still on”
I just bit on the spam link. I hate it when that happens.
