Vietnam Cafe has banh mi, but they aren't on the menu. Also, they sell out early, and that's that.

The first time I saw this so-called KC style hot dog with kraut and Swiss was in, I believe, a NY Times article a few years ago. Before that it was published in
Fast Food: Roadside Restaurants in the Automobile Age (The Road and American Culture) which was published in 1999 - a book about the history of American fast food. I don't know where they got their information about the KC dog (and haven't cared to look that deep), but I thought I would throw that out there.

Yes, the food is good, and they have banh mi on the menu. I am waiting patiently for a JOCO location so I can get banh mi for lunch.
