Re: “Kansas City Wizards reborn as Sporting Kansas City ... whatever that means

So do you think they'll lobby to change the Chiefs name to "Losing Kansas City" next?

Re: “KC restaurant survivors not as old as you'd think

According to their website, Jess & Jim's Steak House has been around since 1938.

Re: “How long do you wait to be served?

My wife and I had this happen the first (and only) time we went to Grunauer. It was a great disappointment - I had high hopes for the place, but after sitting for almost 15 minutes without being even greeted by our server, we got up and walked out, and don't plan on returning. In my mind, more than 10 minutes is pretty much an unforgivable service sin.

Re: “Crosby Kemper III: library 'lucky' not to be even less safe than it feels

@Hyperblogal: My point was if you're going to use one number, why list -both- explicit sexual material -and- child pornography, which is really just a special case of explicit sexual material.

Re: “Crosby Kemper III: library 'lucky' not to be even less safe than it feels

While either is inappropriate for the library, why does child pornography need to be listed out separately from "explicit sexual material", but yet only tallied as one number? One is highly illegal, the other is just inappropriate for a public environment.

Re: “Best places in Kansas City for a picnic

Kessler Park: Go to the Kansas City Museum at 3200 Gladstone Blvd. Walk to the NW corner of the museum block, then cross the street and read the informational placard about Nathan Scarritt. (Technically at the corner of Walrond and Norledge.) Then walk along the ridge that's in front of you for a few hundred yards, and you'll find a delightfully secluded place for a picnic in the middle of the city.
