Re: “Jeff Francoeur's bat leads to tug-of-war in the stands (video)

I watched this a few times and the woman being accused of "grabbing" the bat, actually had it first. It landed in the seat next to her and the older woman behind her leaned over the seat and tried to snag it. Once she realized the older lady was trying to pull it away, she turns around and puts both hands on it. Fair play on her part!

Re: “UFO over Lee's Summit? Fireworks? Or just a satellite? (video)

As others have said, definitely a Chinese lantern. My neighbors (in Lee's Summit) set off a couple dozen of them over the 4th weekend.

Re: “Which restaurant would you want to steal from another city and bring to KC?

Torchy's Tacos or Taco Deli from Austin.

Re: “First restaurant casualty of 2011 is B:2 A Burger Boutique (update)

I'm right there with you. The comments are so offensive that I may never drag our crew to the Mission Farms or Plaza location again. They picked the wrong locale in Lee's Summit and filled it with uncomfortable chairs, bland decor, and a half ass menu. Were this place to feature the full menu and be located in downtown Lee's Summit or at 3rd & View High Drive, it would have killed.

And as others have mentioned, we were frozen out every single time we were there. Without fail, the temp inside B:2 was practically sub-zero. When you add that to the uncomfortable chairs and uninviting decor, it just wasn't some place we wanted to go.

Re: “First restaurant casualty of 2011 is B:2 A Burger Boutique (update)

"When The Pitch reviewed B:2 in September, Peralta said his company, Circle Restaurant Group, decided to create a less expensive burger restaurant for this particular suburban expansion because "no one there (Lee's Summit) would know what Blanc Burgers + Bottles was.""

First of all, this news breaks my heart. I absolutely loved B:2 and Lee's Summit needed it. But the comment above from the owner is ridiculous. We regularly travel to the Plaza, Midtown, and downtown -- as do our neighbors. We'd previously eaten at the original Blanc and the new Plaza location. I'm not sure why B:2 didn't catch on out here, perhaps they would have been better off sticking with the original concept. I wish they'd at least give it a try. I've eaten at B:2 several times and I'm always disappointed when I open the menu and don't see the inside out burger or the pork burger or any of the other awesome Blanc options. We may be stuck out here in the burbs, raising kids and the like, but we aren't neanderthals or hillbillies. I wish they would stay put and give us the option to order the Kobe and lobster burger. Just change the name to Blanc and roll out the other menu. Boom! Problem solved.

Re: “After shooting, restaurant owners deny that Waldo is getting dangerous

Still nothing on the Waldo Pizza site about a fundraiser for Eric. Any word on this?

Re: “Daily Briefs in Brief: No time for blogging

I was going to leave a witty retort about Daily Kos, but then realized -- why bother? Nobody reads your posts.
