Mmm, eggplant sounds good and so does polenta. I take it you're inclduing sweet potato fries in your regular "Frency fry" category - some of my favorite. But for the ultimate fry I'd have to go for those regular old potatoes cooked in duck fat like that yummy place in Chicago. And Blanc can keep their over-oiled truffle fries.
As a 6th generation Texan I'm ashamed to say that I've never been to Franklin's in Austin which I hear is the ne plus ultra of BBQ, but as a girl who grew up in California and moved here to KC in 1996, I've gotten spoiled over the last 16 years by KC barbecue. Nothing like it!!!!
Glad to see the pulicity on this. We used to go for several years but then never saw any ads and wondered if they'd stopped doing it. The tea's always good and it's a great place to buy plates of Brit type munchies! We are definitely amused.
Just move some of the feral cat population from 39th and Prospect over to Brookside to take care of the rat problem! No poison required, just spay and neuter.
Sounds good and it will be nice to see something creative done with that corner! Bring on the cochinita pibil!

So glad to see this. It reaffirms my faith in KC's restaurant commjnity. Having dined at JJ's many times, it broke my heart to see this tragedy, coming on top of the whole West Edge fiasco. Wishing onlly the best for Jimmy and his employees.
