i've been eating sweet potato fries at various restaurants on the lake of the ozarks for my entire life. stunningly, however, LOTO did miss out on the cupcake craze.
i think "mushrooms" probably is the same thing as "circle of death". and trust me, the kids play the shit out of circle of death.

Re: “The five food trends of 2010 that will hopefully not join us in the new year”
jjskck:
the meat and cheese served at KFC is as nutritionally bankrupt as the imitation bread they're not using. food produced sustainably contains a similar number of calories, but the calories are nutritionally dense, and that's why downing 1000 calories worth of quinoa, local heirloom tomatoes and Campo Lindo chicken at westside local is actually beneficial and PROMOTES weight loss while doubling down at KFC not only leads to weight gain but eventually to heart disease, various types of cancers, strokes and diabetes.
So not all calories are created equal. I've cut factory farmed or processed foods out of my diet and have lost 40 pounds over the past year without trying much harder than reading ingredient labels and selecting only products made with things i recognize as food. All while stuffing my face with the tastiest sustainable, local, non-processed, non-GMO foods like a ravenous animal at nearly every meal.
