I've only seen that done at Snarf's in Boulder, Colorado but they're in St Louis now so it may be closer than you think! :-D
Valentine's Day weekend, 2008, I went out to dinner with my husband, we stopped by our accountant's office to drop off our W2's, went home and decided to get a divorce. We'd been separated for over a year at that point and were living apart. Something about Valentine's Day and the farce it is just weighed too heavily on me & I pulled the plug on the 16th, that Saturday, when he came to visit. We actually were formally divorced on our wedding anniversary the following May.
Pass that sampler, man.
It would be a lot more constructive if people stopped boycotting the Power & Light District and demanded some transparency about what the hell is going on with rents, subsidies & event coordination. Instead of being apathetic snobs, how about all you devout locals confront this problem before empty restaurants outnumber occupied spots & we all have a long term blight problem on OUR hands?
They're not asking for any monetary compensation or damages, etc. The complaint just asks the Taco Bell either call it "filling" or add beef & if Yum! doesn't do it voluntarily, the USDA can mandate changes to their operations/claims. So far, Yum! wants to fight so the only expense is from their own legal fees & hopefully some lost business. I'm disappointed the USDA didn't catch this and a former manager had to bring it to the lawyers. So much for oversight & consumer protections.
Hating on Cordish or saying P&L sucks doesn't really do much to support the area, which, hate to break it to all the resentful locals, is the only thing bringing outside money to Kansas City. If you think anyone in the Midwest visits KC & cares about saving $2 to shop at the Crate & Barrel or get a Smashburger, you don't have a clue. If the "surbanite" JoCo tight-wads don't wanna pay to park their hummers & Excursions, maybe they should get behind decent regional transit & let someone else do the driving.
This review is awesome. Thanks for writing a concise, intelligent review. I'll save my $10 & skip this one.
