@abe do you know what the definition of the word value is? the kid could start his own stinking firm if he played one year in the NFL and quit the game to go back to school. i dont wanna hear that crap about him doin the right thing. Luck is doin' what he wants to do, and it doesnt make him any better or worse of a person for doin so. i swear the world gets a bit too nosey these days..
man, that kid never did wrong to anybody, and i hope this commnent board ceases become the type that shows humanity is less human than we all think. that young man NEVER harmed a soul, and was nothing but courteous, giving, and respectful in the time that i knew him, and if memory serves me, all he every wanted to do was work for tv, and worked hard to make his dreams happen, which is alot more than most of us can say.
this is a damn shame, the city needs to wake up...
You got it wrong david, its not that Janelle never repped the town, the town never repped her the way they should've. had she stayed in KC as an artist, she would have NEVER broken thru as a national act, let alone maintained a following in a city where individuality, creativity, and free thinking are nearly outlawed...
Kansas City is nortoriously too late in discovering, following, and championing its home-grown talent.
I called it the Charlie Parker Effect..
to all the dissenter here stating its too risky because government sanctioned testing hasnt been done(or the original reason, because the coloreds do it, and if u do it, you'll act like a colored: just check for the old anti-reefer media and you'll see what i mean) realize this: they say the same thing about real marijuana, yet ABSOLUTELY refuse to spend dollars researching what could be either a medical revolution or an epidemic more widespread than h1n1. i would think we would want hard facts if it were either, but the government is ambivilent because it would lead to a lower allocation of law enforcement funds the next fiscal year.
weed isnt legal and this stuff will probably be banned for one reason only, MONEY
also, i'm more concerned about where that 207 million is goin rather than the 10 we spent. seems like with that type of cash, the drug czar can fund his own operation instead of hustling us.
honestly, id prefer ALL of the funds allocated thru this tax went to local school districts for prevention. IMO it may be fun for the kids to see cops drive around in customized squad cars, but id prefer they be on the streets protecting citizens from the collateral crimes and nuisances created by the HARD drug trade. Put that money directly into the teachers pockets, who spent years training to be able to educate our youth yet struggle to pay their student loans because of the paltry wage they accept.
Re: “”
fuck it i'll say it, just shows how lame our town can be. if any other dj, wether it be someone local or international dj's , playing the same tracks on the same day, you know what the response would be?
"why was he/she playing all that "techno""
but hey, if there's one thing Kansas City loves, its racial stereotypes....and flattops....
