I also have mixed feelings as I've seen great and some not-so-great shows there, as well as some unbelievably awful-sounding shows... Broken Social Scene was just. sad.
I like the backyard. It's possible the ownership is just transitioning. Maybe.
Thanks! fixed.
How dare you - 2 MMJ tickets cost me $118. Get it right, buddy.
But most importantly - aw. Abe, we never knew how much you cared. :)
Here is a link to many of the most recent show reviews. Others can see for themselves whether it's true that we hate everything (or... not) http://www.pitch.com/wayward/archives/last…
Where did anyone say that a show would have been better in Lawrence?
It's cool that they can speak Afrikaans and some Bantu, but it doesn't really improve the content, most of which is in English.
Re: “Sigur Rós, last night at Starlight (review)”
Thanks. It's my understanding that those other tickets are released if the demand is there. There wasn't for My Morning Jacket, either (the last show that I saw at Starlight). There was an entire empty row in front of me in the orchestra section.
Don't know how I missed a guy playing ambient music from behind a screen... :)
