How does selling liquor in grocery stores create jobs? Why is everyone so quick to talk about creating and losing jobs? That is the new argument for everything. Its not as if people aren't able to get liquor in Kansas. The only way that jobs are created is if the demand of goods increases, right? Its not as if people will drink more liquor if they sell it at the grocery store. They will drink the same amount(hence purchase the same amount), but possibly by at HyVee vs. Lucas Liquor. If anything, it creates less jobs because people wont have additional trips to the liquor store, hence less gas consumed therefore meaning less trips to the gas station...anyways im getting in the weeds, but I just hate that every story about the most insignificant thing turns into the way to fix our high unemployment rate.
