Re: “Halfway Home Pet Adoptions loses animal-shelter contract with Kansas City amid claims of animal abuse

Tomki, Steckelberg's comment suggesting someone else to please step up was completely facetious. His ego is as huge, well as yours probably, and he would never ask someone else to do this job. And Kimberly67's point is well taken - it is the same thing. The man refused, when asked, to step down.

Thank you for never giving up on McGyver and all the other ones in the same situation.

TomKi, define animal rights activist. Also, define closeted animal rights activists.

Volunteers are not allowed there until the contract runs out? Please clarify this - I was under the impression Steckelberg is setting up a new volunteer group.

And the answer is: get a better/new shelter manager. The number one reason animals die in shelters is the shelter director and how they manage.

Yes, I'm 12 and it's time for night night. Did you ever see the video of his promises when he took over the shelter? That was when he said he would fix the problems there. Nope, again you're blaming the public for his actions. Yes, they dumped their animals, but he has chosen to not save them. Not treat them. Not care for them.
