Re: “Sen. Luann Ridgeway still believes in welfare queens

Abuse of the system does occur...even if some of you don't want to believe it. I was in a convenience store trying to pay for a tank of gas. Lady in front of me was yelling at the clerk because she couldn't get change for her foodstamps, which she was using to pay for soda pop, donuts and a bag of Cheetohs. One of my neighbors is married, both parents have jobs, they live in a brand new, 2000 square foot home, drive new vehicles, kids are always decked out in new clothes. She posted on facebook one minute a picture of the brand new gas grill which they were cooking shrimp on. Next minute posted an exclamation that her two kids could still get Medicaid, thank god, cause their presciption medication totalled over $600 last month. Abuses do happen, sorry to say.

Re: “The Good Foot, with clowns and fire

Original tune from the Good Foot???? There IS a heaven. Can't wait to hear it and, now, see it on video.

Re: “'Gnarly' Dan arraigned on drug charges

Wow, I will NEVER sign for a package again. Didn't know it was that easy for the obviously bored and having nothing better to do Law Enforcement of KC to entrap you.

I agree with Dan Doty, anyone who wrote this article, or has read the article and decided to judge Gnarly Dan, and here's the kicker... NOT sinned in the eyes of the law, raise your hand...thought so. Not so smug now, are we?

Re: “The 2009 Pitch Music Awards Winners

Jason, I don't think the Sex Police performed much over the entire last twelve months, not just this summer, when the members of the Sex Police who are also in the Architects were busy Warping it. If the Warped Tour is the excuse for the SP not performing much over the past 8 months, then the Architects should have been nominated for best live act and not the Sex Police. Just a thought :)

Re: “The 2009 Pitch Music Awards Winners

I really think the Sex Police are great...when they perform. How can a band that only performs, what, two or three times a year, win best live act? In my humble opinion, a live act that deserves to win a Best Live Act award is one that performs often, frequently, more than two or three times a year. Just a thought. And, I do like the Sex Police, they are very talented, but they haven't even logged on to their Myspace page since June 10th ( I just checked) . So, how active and live a group can this be?
