So, Paul what did you think about Carr's "sloping forehead" comment? Did you "not care what elitists think"? It works both ways.
No.
Anyone else find it weird that this sandwich has lettuce on it???
So how does "God" punish himself (or herself or itself?) when he performs his own abortions? (miscarriages) Why is God killing innocent babies? Are there tornadoes in heaven???
I watched this on Friday night. I thought it was funny. I wasn't offended. Being from Kansas, I know that we deserve ridicule (I really don't want to list the reasons here, right now. I think we all know.) On the other side, I've heard Bill Maher stick up for Kansans on his show. I guess one might be offended if they happen to have a sloped head.
And no, Bill Maher does not = Glenn Beck. That's just ignorant.
I agree the comparison isn't exact. (I don't believe it to be vast). Cobain DID leave behind a daughter to grow up without a father. How responsible was that? Kurt and Ryan Dunn are both jackasses. It sucks that someone was with him, but the friend knew that he was getting into a fast car with a "jackass" that had been drinking.
I find it funny that people are suddenly getting up in arms about driving while drunk. This happens everyday. People are free to volunteer their time/money to the cause anytime they want.
While taking the time now, when a guy from Jackass dies, to speak out, people are putting him on a higher pedestal than when not speaking out against it when it happens to an average person. All the while talking shit on the guy for not being famous enough.
Everybody's entitled to their opinion. He most definitely shouldn't have been driving while over the limit. But everyone makes mistakes. It was just the sort of lifestyle that he and his crew lived. That's what fans came to expect from the Viva La Bam/Jackass group. No one is saying people should be shocked of the outcome.
But, 6 drinks in 4-5 hours doesn't mean he was trashed. He was used to driving fast sports cars and partying. Who knows what happened.
Let's not treat this any different from when any other of our "heroes" dies. Especially those living the "rock and roll lifestyle". What's the difference from Ryan Dunn and Kurt Cobain dying? I just think there's a lot of hypocrites chastising Dunn's mistake. Cobain abused drugs and alcohol for years, but when he committed suicide, people were walking all over themselves to celebrate his life. (Kurt Cobain being just one example). Others: Keith Moon, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Hutchence, John Bonham, etc...
Re: “Kansas wants federal money to promote marriage”
"Marriage" is a religious institution, is it not? That's what those against same sex marriage are saying, correct? Gays can't get married because the biblical definition is a union of man and woman, right?
So how can the state ask for federal dollars to support marriage? That's an offense to the constitutional laws of this country. It is blurring the lines of church and state.
You can't have it both ways.
