One of the best bands out of Kansas City in a long time (not that there aren't a ton of great bands there now) The Republic Tigers signed to Chop Shop Records... info is on New Juice Music...

Hey... Don't forget The Republic Tigers are out in LA. They'll be broadcast on Jonsey's Jukebox Tuesday the 11th. You can get a link to the radio stations live broadcast on my blog, here- http://new-juice-music.blogspo...
FYI... His show begins at 2pm Kansas City time!
Yea, New Juice Music was talkin bout it in early November.
East Coast is killing it right now, mainly the Brooklyn area. The National, Blonde Redhead, Pela, etc.... they're all worth checking out.
Downtown living is just that, "downtown living". They are trying to do the same thing out here in downtown Los Angeles. Building nice artsy lofts with all kinds of hip appeal. Same result, bottom line.
Yea, couldn't agree with you more... This is Lucinda's best album in my opinion, no getting around it. As a matter of fact I never really could understand how she got signed to "lost highway" prior to this album. Of course the dreaded "Bitch" song... ahhhh!
So, to say the least, I started listening to this album very reluctant to enjoy it... but I couldn't help myself. The album is great! She does a wonderful job of capturing that stripped-down lovable raw country sound that has been so commonly referred to as alt-country these days. She definitely incorporated some pros on this album to help out... and I think its helped her find herself again as well.

f'ing police, god forbid a large group of people show a little unity, culture and smiles!
