don't worry, he will be tickled soon enough... tickled reeeeeeeeeeeeeal good
Let's see, I first started going to Succotash about 5 years ago, when they were in the RiverMarket, and I liked it. Cool location. Cool restaurant. Cool super realistic painting of a girl eating soup
So, I went back. Many times.
Unfortunately, over the years, the food seemed to get worse. Almost not good. Then the place started to look and feel dirty. So I stopped going... until the moved... then I started going again. Then it started to taste bad again, and still felt dirty.
Please tell me that I am not alone here, right? Succotash is dirty, overpriced, and the food isn't that good. Sorry Succotash, but I would rather eat at the old Corner Diner than at your dive.
there are a decent handful of artisan pizza shops around... too many almost. does anyone know of a good greek pizza joint, like Arris' Pizza? i looooove greek pizza but never can find it in KC
can, and have... although, technically, the provider was the farmer / rancher since they provided the environment and resources which made it possible for that animal to grow, and i have a problem with killing people
i think this will be a good article to keep up with, seeing as people will get all philosophical and start yelling and cussing... you cussin' at me?
can we say comment bait? wow, the merc makes a good dressing
I worked briefly in the kitchen when Alex was Sous Chef at The American... he has skills... best of luck
We have (had) a favorite restaurant in our neighborhood who had a new cook, and let the oil get too hot, resulting in burnt undercooked falafel. I sent that back, twice, before my wife literally found a dead fly in her salad... and a long hair. Uhhh, we left and have not been back.
When working on a construction site in Chicago a few years ago, the nearest place was Country Buffet (I generally steer clear of buffets). I know you are gambling when it comes to buffet, but one of the guys picked up his chicken, and underneath there was what looked like the hair ball out of someone's hair brush. There was a LOT of hair. We all stopped eating and we showed the waitress what he found. She said the manager offered to pay for his food, so we all got up and just left without paying.
Re: “Can I just eat in #%&*@ peace, please?”
It's interesting to be on this side for a change... no, really nothing else I would like to know. I don't know why I get so judgmental online. I guess I just get defensive when I see what I perceive to be bullying or hateful generalizations, being a bullied kid, and I want to take on the bullier. It's gotten me into altercations in my past.
I meant well. I thought I was taking down a bullier, but now I see that I should just just up, and I feel horrible for what I said. Both you and Dave have really given it to me.... actually, I was feeling pretty good when I got up this morning, now I feel pretty crappy. Thanks, but I guess I deserved it.
