I remember my step father and I driving down Troost, and The Paseo in 1976 ( i was 15 yrs old), and him telling me how all the millionaires lived on these streets up until the 1940s. I thought he was pulling my leg, because all I saw were dilapidated houses rented out by hood rats.

Im sorry ---Da HOOD  element moved into Westport many years ago!!  Ever been downstairs at Buzzard Beach at about midnight??-----Its the cast of Boys IN The Hood down there. Not a far cry from 39th and Prospect at all.

Youre right ---some bands are never dated , but Im with Danno.  Whenever i hear a Pixies song on the radio (which is rare), Im immediately struck with the feeling that their music didnt really hold up well over the years.  Same with Pearl Jam and Nirvana,.  That shit smells like the early 90s!!!
