Re: “Royal Buffet opening today — or is it?

Masalas has had a sign up saying that it was going to open up mid-March under new management...for quite some time, obviously. lol.

Re: “Sweet Siam is bringing a unique take on Thai food to Lenexa

Food was okay although I think the sauce on my plate may have come from a bottle. Menu was not especially unique.

Re: “Have you ever given meat to a vegetarian?

I think I was a very strict lacto-ovo vegetarian for nearly thirteen years before I started to get a little less anal about what I ate when I was eating out or at a friend's house. I think it was the realization that you can stay away from the soup (chicken/beef base), omit the cheese course (rennet), and pick your dessert carefully (gelatin) -- but they're still putting chicken broth in the freakin' marinara sauce.

So these days, I occasionally go for the tomato bisque instead of a salad. But ribs are a bit much for me...
