Re: “Karl Rove predicts record loss for Todd Akin

I would prefer another candidate but it doesn't matter much in the end. Airclaire is despised and even IF Adkin stays in the race (I don't think he will. Give him another week or two of poll numbers) voters will not re-elect her. She really is that despised and come November this gaffe won't be that well remembered.

Re: “Jason Whitlock weighs in on Joe Posnanski's "Paterno"

Sounds like someone is quite jealous that he will never, ever get a "research assistant and a $750,000 book advance". HalfWhitlock is a borderline racist, trash journalist with an ego bigger than his gigantic fat ass.

Re: “Ron Marts, owner of troubled funeral home, faces new charges from Attorney General Chris Koster

Koster is also concerned that some of Marts clients may try to vote in upcoming elections.

Re: “Shut the cluck up, Jeneé — Chick-fil-A doesn't need your help

She is pretty bad but she doesn't get to claim the title of 'worst' as long as Lewis Diuguid is still employed. Neither is a mental giant but Diuguid is not only an incoherent rant master he is a complete racist. He blames non-blacks for every conceivable ill that ever befell a black.

This publication recently ran a post that hinted that affirmative action may be the only reason Steve Penn, the fired KC Star reporter, was ever working as a reporter in the first place. I can’t think of a better explanation for Diuguid’s continued employment. It sure has nothing to do with his grasp of issues.

Re: “Kemper Arena: What should Kansas City do with the aging facility?

Force the aliens who left it here to come back and get it.

If they could find a private buyer it would be great. It could be left as event space, converted into housing, hotel space, retail space, nightclub/entertainment space, factory space or warehouse space. Problem is we know it is not that attractive as event space and I can't imagine anyone wanting to live, shop or party down there. The upkeep is probably too expensive for warehouse or factory space. As I recall it's that upkeep that the city does not want to keep expending - nor should they.

If they can't find a buyer then stop the bleeding and turn it into a pasture like it was before the aliens came.

Re: “Pending Kansas bill would criminalize refusing to take DUI tests

I am as conservative as anyone but this is over the line. This goes squarely to impingement of a person's constitutional right against self-incrimination. It is exactly the same principle as a coerced confession and will face (and lose) the same constitutional challenges. It’s bad enough that a refusal can be introduced as evidence against a suspect but making the act of exercising one’s constitutional rights a crime may well be the stupidest thing a Kansas legislature has ever done.

Re: “Could KC have a mayor who doesn't eat barbecue?

His name was Funk and he loved New York strip steak. Guess he didn't know there is no such thing.
