I believe the Waids in Lees Summit off of Hwy 50 is still alive and kicking. I drive by it nearly every day and there are always carsthere.
Mill Street Deli in Liberty had the best Cheesesteak in town, but sadly it closed down a couple months ago(great food, bad location)
I need to try this out, this is only a few miles from my house. No review of the actual food though(other than maybe the headline)?
Lee's Summit has a solid variety of good, authentic Mexican joints. From Maggie's downtown(I dare you to ask them for sour cream) to Fiesta Azteca(formerly of Raytown) and a newly opened branch of Guadalajara Cafe, we definitely have some solid options for avoiding food slathered in cheese shredded lettuce.
This isn't college football where there is a "visitors section" for every game, and visiting fans are often treated with hospitality and kindness. Stay out of opposing teams NFL stadiums if you can't handle the heat. You aren't welcome, and they don't want you there.
As a Chiefs fan, I wouldn't even think about going to an opposing teams stadium while wearing a Chiefs jersey...especially a division rival with a long history of bad blood (Raiders, Broncos). If I go to an opposing game, I'll wear something neutral and keep my mouth shut like any smart person would do.
Re: “Google Fiber likely coming to Johnson County”
Get this out to Lees Summit by the end of 2013 and I'll be happy
