I'd like to say that I'm surprised by this but I'm really not. Yes they have gotten some good touring shows over the years but they also have A LOT of nights when very little is going on their. Fact is the current state of things has made it very tough for bands to go on tour and make even decent money which means there are A LOT less touring bands then there was even 10 years ago. Also the amount of good Lawrence bands that can fill a venue every with every show they play is pretty slim. As a result you have a venue that should be doing much better business then it currently is. I hate to see the place go because as a long time area musician I've not only seen a lot of shows there but I have also played their a bunch too. But business is business and Nick's gotta do what he's gotta do. R.I.P. Jackpot Music Hall

Good God and sweet baby Jesus did this make my day! It's only been how many years since they last paid us a visit?
