I am glad that the Royals FINALLY made a play in free agency for some quality starting pitching.
The biggest shame in all of this is the fact that the taxpayers got rooked. Our buy in pretty much came with a guarantee that an NHL or NBA franchise would be relocating here. What are we, 5 years in now, and SC still has no anchor tenant, and the P&L District is struggling. Personally...I don't feel one bit sorry, as this is a direct result of the city and county not doing what it takes to get a franchise here. When are the local governments going to stop thinking like we are still a cowtown, and realize we are a metro of almost 2.5 million. It is time to think and live in the now!
I plan to show up next home game with My "FESCOE IS RIGHT" sweatshirt, and a bag on my head. This team is gutless.
If the powers that be in Kansas City were willing to do what it takes to get the NBA or NHL here...they would be here by now. A shiny new downtown arena, and the P&L are not enough...you have to be willing to offer the right incentives to a team to make it worth their while to pull up roots and come here. That takes $$$ and know how. Obviously, both of which must have been lacking in past negotiations.
I listen to his show pretty regularly, and in all honesty...this guy goes from hero to douche bag about 100 times an hour. Dumps callers...loves to listen to himself. Glad some of you found him entertaining. I personally found it very difficult to not call him regularly, just to tell him to get bent. That being said...I do not wish he and his family any ill will. Good luck, Nick. Hope things work out for you. Danny P. in the drive time, hopefully!
Classless MU...Bobbie Bra???...really...Gee, second grade called, and they want their taunt back. You did nothing but just prove my point you arrogant fuck, and and what's even more humorous is the fact that you are too stupid to even realize it. Die in a fire, asshole...along with the rest of Beaker Nation. The world would be a much better place.
Re: “Another Mizzou football player arrested for pot possession”
I like coach Pinkel, but I am beginning to wonder if he is the coach we need in place for Mizzou to be successful in the SEC. He had better get control of this team and his players, or he will be looking for a new job. The first season in the SEC was a joke, and the boosters will not sit back and tolerate that, especially with all of the money they are spending to improve the facilities.
