Rob said they offered the track to others and nobody would come up with the cash. I know one of those people, a drag racer who would keep the track open. The price was even more than what he initially asked the city. Rob wanted to be an instant millionaire.
He claims that 600K wasn't a lot of money to the people in NP3,
then why did they borrow 715,000 of the 950,000 purchase price when they bought the track? Rob went to the city and cooked up his parachute offer before he even bought the track, what does this tell you. He stood at the racers meeting the following month and never mentioned the fact he was even trying to buy the track. A month later he was the new owner. The code violations
that have been talked about involved the big steel building on the west side of the track erected without permits. It was built before the track was sold to Ullman. Who was the owner then? The story from everyone at city hall is the same, the only one who claims they are all lying is Rob. The person who made the money off this sellout.
