Re: “Kansas City has not yet been taken over by hipsters

Confusing picture and caption. Why would I give a shit if my neighbor looked like this? Are you assuming that I'm a bigoted asshole who expects my neighbors to follow my personal dress code?

What a douchey article. I know more people who bitch about hipsters than I know actual "hipsters." Same thing five years ago with "emo," and ten years ago with "goth." This is just the latest, TRENDIEST "group" (in quotations because I am skeptical of any sort of organization or recognition, even self recognition. I've never known of anyone to refer to THEMSELVES as a hipster.) for everyone to hate on together. What bizarre behavior.

Enjoy the satisfaction that comes with sharing a mutual (albeit fabricated) enemy, everyone! Down with those goth kids! I meant, emo kids! I meant, commies! I meant...wait, what are we on now? I forgot already. Time to pick a new group of people who dress a certain way for us all to hate!
