Re: “Forbes richest Americans list features the usual locals plus a newcomer

What You Believe is correct, but it is you who "don't get it" and obviously never will. There is no hypocracy except in your eyes and those of your fellow travelers. He made this list PRIOR to obamacare, meaning that the business has and will do fine with or without it. THAT is the Irony of the adolescent grade "highlight" insinuated, but gutlessly unstated, in the report. ("journoListic" integrity?)
For your brand of irony, let us all examine where Obama/Geithner's TARP pets; Goldman Sachs, BoA, JP Morgan, Citigroup, AIG, GMAC, Capital One, etc., etc. would be today if not for Billions in US tax funds.
Again, the "essence" is that this business built it's fortune without tons of my tax dollars being handed out to cover its mistakes.
Work on your reading comprehension skills before weakly defending weakness and snark.

Sarcasm? Just the thing one would expect from a petty, envious class-warfare devotee. The fact that this individual brought thousands of jobs to KC, huge tax revenue, improved health care process for millions of people and supported the community in a myriad of ways means nothing to a Redistributionist if someone (gasp!) personally PROFITS from decades of hard work. I'm thinking of a name for such a failed political belief system... hmmm? What could it be?

Re: “Forbes richest Americans list features the usual locals plus a newcomer

Great fun (& painful irony?) in Pitch's editorializing in the closing paragraph. Writer insinuates some kind of dissonance in the potential of Patterson continuing to profit in the age of ObamaCare, with his personal free-market, libertarian philosophy. Considering that the sales of Cerner's products has grown 22%/year for many years - prior to even the introduction of O-Care - it would appear that there's no conflict or connection of any kind. So, why mention it at all unless there's an editorial slant and narrative being promoted as "news"? Painful Irony

Re: “Familiar restaurant names and faces take residency in Parkville

Oh, Charles! Just love the nasty elitist hipster jab about how un-surprised you were that everyone but you and yours are clueless, ignorant rubes when it comes to literature. One should never miss an opportunity! And aren't you just an extra special superior form of life. Thanks for the information, anyway.
