I find it interesting that Ryan Weber chose to call his Tech Company KCnext when there already exists a Tech company based in Kansas City which is called KCnet (that was founded in the late 1990's) I understand the desire though, he gets a lot of PR based on the success of another company without needing to actually prove the worth of his company.

You are right he could have, my only point was that he named it that I could almost guarantee to confuse people and steal the reputation of what others (someone I actually know) has worked to create. I can't speak to the work he does, but can speak to the fact that his company name is a trademark infringement.
