Re: “Streetcar taxing district approved by voters

This makes sense for people to get around the area, w/o having to move your car, once you have "paid" to park it! Easy transportation for visitors to the city, once they get to downtown. Would like to see it expanded all the way to the Plaza, eventually. Would be great for "partying" (and not driving) to different venues.

Re: “Sports Illustrated says the Kansas City Chiefs are a 'legitimate Super Bowl contender'

The Chiefs could be a great team, but there are so many "ifs" to consider here. I don't like Matt Cassel, never have, never will. He's a pretty-boy who doesn't want to get hurt, so I don't feel he puts himself on the line when needed to "step up". Other players have talent, but will they come through also, when needed? It's has been years since I have felt good about the Chiefs. I used to wear my sweatshirts proudly, but now they hang in the closet.....so sad.

Re: “The night the Christmas lights went out in Prairie Village

I also, totally agree with the neighbors, enough is enough, year after year! And this is NOT a richy-rich neighborhood. Unless you have actually been there, you have no idea. So if you like it so much, maybe YOU should move to the street, and put up with the crowds and cars, for several weeks during the Holidays! I think you also, would get pretty sick of all the congestion and strangers every night. And the neighbors HAVE talked to him...to no avail! It's fine for all you "bleeding hearts" that don't have to put up with it, to say the neighbors are terrible people....walk a mile in their shoes, and THEN we'll talk!

Re: “Crown Center bans running through fountains

I totally support Crown Center's decision, and understand why it is time to end this. Crown Center has become a major draw to the downtown area now, with the Legoland & Aquarium now open. Out of town guests (i.e. the All-Star Game), I'm sure (as do I), would rather enjoy the complex for its beauty and aesthics. Wet kids running and splashing in the area, just doesn't work anymore. Congrats, Crown Center, I salute you!
