Re: “Boulevard's Love Child No. 2 hits shelves tomorrow”
I have been a fan of sour beer since I first had La Follie made by New Belgium 5 or so years ago. I must say Boulevard hit a home run with this one. I live in Arkansas and picked up 2 bottles (no limit) for a little over 15 dollars a bottle. Head diminishes quickly as with all beers of this type. Heavy sour cherries and port wine are prevalent during first 10 or so minutes after pouring from a refrigerator. As you warm the glass with your hands the beer really opens up and you get some of the sweet malty notes and a touch of bourbon. Would like to go deeper but pressed for time at the moment. Overall a VERY drinkable sour and one of the best Boulevard has put out thus far.
