Re: “Would the real Ron Paul please stand up?”
It is so nice to put a face with the name of Ron Paul Shawd.
It would be interesting to know if Mr. Shawd came to the Jackson County Caucus on Mar 24th to vote for Ron Paul the presidential candidate. This is the only place to vote for a presidential candidate if you intend the vote to count. The presidential preference primary was not binding in 2012 and therefore did not count. Yes, it was a $7 million waste of taxpayer dollars.
We welcome Mr. Shawd to the grassroots supporters of Dr. Paul, but Jason Greene is the anti-establishment candidate most of us are supporting in the congressional primary.
And just for the record --the establishment, to their detriment, does not support candidates in the primary. For better or worse, (in my opinion its for worse) they wait until the people have chosen in the primary before they get behind the candidates. I believe we should get behind the candidate that most closely matches our own political philosophy - in this case the philosophy of liberty - and do our best to help them win the primary. The establishments method has given us Jacob Turk for the last three times. I agree with Mr. Shawd that this is completely unacceptable.
I am sure there are many wonderful things about Mr. Shawd that we would agree on. But we have been working hard for liberty since December and Jason Greene has been active and involved in educating the people of the 5th District about the Constitutional limits on the federal government, the failures of the federal reserve and the threats to our personal liberty and the Republic by the Patriot Acts and the 2012 NDAA, CISPA and other bills passed in Congress that are not squared with the Constitution.
I encourage everyone to get out and vote on Aug 7th for Jason Greene. Jason has a real chance of winning this primary and is the only candidate that can beat Emanuel Cleaver in November.
