Re: “Nick and Jake's, midtown version, opens this month, say owners

Boundaries constantly change! I've never thought of anything south of 43rd street as being a part of midtown - although I suppose a metropolitan view of the city could drag the southern boundary over Brush Creek. I have seen references in historic landmarks books, including A Place In Time, published in the 1970s, that describes midtown as the area south of Truman and north of thirty-first, most of which has since been christened 'the crossroads'. Go figure!

That is not midtown. This article is off by miles.

Re: “Looking for answers to Kansas City's nagging questions rattling around our brains

Half of the original Coates House Hotel building still stands - as apartments, not office space - the other half is the parking lot to the south. Simply compare these photos - they are taken a handful of blocks from your office.

Re: “Aixois Brasserie brings a little Gallic chic to the P&L District

One thing that bothers me about the original Aixois is the decor. It feels like the Tippins of local French restaurants - the place you would go and sit with your grandmother.
