Blucollar56, what exactly is a "legitimate case of rape"? How do you propose lawmakers go about differentiating between if my attacker was doing it "legitimately" or not? I think you've missed the point of why people are so mad. Also, Akin's comment that the female body has ways to "shut that whole thing down" shows that he not only has no idea what he is talking about, but is not helping in the war against women. If anything he is only going to push for more laws governing reproductive and female rights. I don't know a lot about politics, but I know that I don't want someone like Akin deciding what I can and cannot do with my vagina.
