Live music is both a personal thing and a group experience. Thanks for sharing your "autobiographical context". I had a very personal reaction to the show too, but in a reverse way. I married into Phish fandom and never considered myself a Phish fan. Too busy being a Radiohead snob, I guess. I'm glad my husband finally got to take me to a Phish show. And Starlight was a perfect venue for it. I totally GET Phish now. The energy of the crowd was awesome and just the kind of acceptance I needed.
