Re: “And just what do you want the restaurant manager to do?

I rarely point out a problem, but when I do it is something that I think can be fixed--part of my order gone missing or a hostess putting people at tables for which no wait service is assigned. I do not want to vent or bully, but what I expect is being told that it'll be fixed the next time I go there.

What offends me is a manager who basically says we won't fix it, but here's a coupon or a discount. I think too many businesses try to make customers happy with little treats rather than fixing existing problems. Why should I return to a restaurant that's going to remain filthy or utterly disorganized just because they've given me some money back?
