The statue is quite meta. She's objectifying herself (ala the headlessness) as simultaneously as onlookers are tempted to objectify the statue. The 'pre-objectification' is the signal that all is not at to be taken at face value (pun intended) and we should look into ourselves more before judging the work and the artist
