Re: “Restaurants that ban children? Really?

This is a terrible idea. As a former foster care parent, this policy would have been both insulting and inconvenient. No, we could not always afford a baby sitter, and eating in restaurants teaches children valuable social skills. The easiest solution is to manage each situation individually.

Incidentally, your friend is a narcissist, and I would not want to eat within 3 feet of him. :p. Just kidding. Seriously though, as a schoolteacher, I'm concerned when I hear adults say they hate children, because such a statement has significant sociological implications. The more we ostracize children, the more difficult it will be for our society to appropriately raise them.

Re: “Looking for a dinner that's cheap, really cheap

I agree with the poster who said, "$10 is not cheap eats." I'd like to see someone post information about meals (not a couple of happy hour tacos) that are no more than 5 to 6 dollars.
