Re: “Kansas' most vulnerable now have even less health care, thanks to Gov. Brownback

I am in a similar situation to Finn's, I received 24-hour care through a Kansas Medicaid waiver. I do not have another option except to rely on the state for my care. These Republicans especially Brownback have no idea what it is like to be disabled and worry every day that your care will be taken away. This is not a political issue it is a moral issue Christians are supposed to take care of people who are less fortunate. Brownback cannot say he is a Christian or believes in family values if he is going to force a family to split up so Finn can keep his care. Disabled people like myself are not a number and a budget we are human and deserve to be treated that way! All three of the insurance companies that took over Kansas Medicaid are only in it to increase their profits at any cost. Sec. Sullivan has his head so far up Brownback's ass that he will go along with cutting anyone's hours because he has the same belief. This state until last year had the best Medicaid system in the country thanks to Kathleen Sibelius who started the home base community hours I am able to live my life. What's at stake here is not the state saving money because we know they will not it is someone's life.
