The author denigrates "yellow cheese eaters" and goes on about the authenticty of the food at Ixtapa......and later admits that one of his dinner party ended up with gaucamole that wasn't quite defrosted and tasted like "avocado sorbet".

That's all I need to know about the "authenticity" of this place.
