So the Rosedale house is REALLY skinny - looks more like a double-wide on steroids than a normal house. I just don't see them selling it unless they drastically reduce the price.

The new one apparently is being sold for $180,000, which would make it "affordable" to someone earning 80% of the area income.

Really?

The median household - not per capita, HOUSEHOLD - income in the 66102 zip code is $28,143.

Just who, exactly, is going to make the $1200 mortgage/insurance/tax payment instead of buying the $50k homes that make up the rest of the block?

This one does have a chance, but only because someone who is really, really devoted to living green might take a flyer on it. But their resale opportunities are going to be limited, unfortunately.

This one over in Rosedale has been on the market for over a year, and is the first LEED Platinum home in KS (I think).
