Although it's not in KC, Bill Sharp's BBQ out on highway 50 towards Knob Knoster is great. Their BBQ sucks, but the tenderloin is great

There's a tiny place on the Boulevard, hidden among all the little Mexican joints -- I think called "Tenderloin Grill" or something (the sign is actually a banner) -- with an awesome sandwich.

Maloney's has a very unique tenderloin as well.

Too many places squash the 'loin until you can see through it and then put twice as much breading as meat.
