I started going to COR when Adam was preaching a series on "When Christians get it wrong" (http://www.cor.org/worship/sermon-archives/show/series/When-Christians-Get-it-Wrong/) It looked pretty interesting to me. I had made assumptions about COR based on it's size and location in Leawood (I grew up in an inner city church off linwood and olive) and my limited understanding of the UMC's views/roles/rules.

If I could get weed 2X as good, smoke 1/2 as much and give the other 1/2 to the homeless, would that be considered as atonement for my other sins?

Does a rock star pay for the alcohol to get girls wasted and ef him in bars? Or is the alcohol provided by the girls themselves and the other, non-rock star males who are also wanting some action?

Is the quality of one's concern really measurable by the extent to which it influences one's life?

Are statements cleverly disguised as questions really a bad thing?
