August 6, 2008
For the last few months, Aim4Peace mediators have been quietly working in the streets to keep people from shooting each other. The group held its first march against violence yesterday at the corner of 27th Street and Benton.

This is a wonderful movement! All of us young African-Americans need to wake up and understand that we cannot afford to be each other's biggest enemy. We have to unite and control our neighborhoods. If we don't respect who we are and where we live, NOBODY ELSE WILL!!! There can be no more police brutality, inadequate schools, and Hurricane Katrina-esque catastrophies if we collectively pull together united in the struggle for the advancement of our people. Lets be proud of each other and demand peace for our people!
