Alamo Kids Camp: Short Circuit

When: Fri., Aug. 10, 11 a.m., Sat., Aug. 11, 11 a.m. and Sun., Aug. 12, 11 a.m. 2012
Price: free
Here's our latest suggestion for parent-child summertime relief: Alamo Drafthouse's Kids' Camp. Children who are 3 and older are invited to 1400 Main for a free 11 a.m. showing of Short Circuit, the 1986 family-friendly sci-fi flick about a rogue robot who learns the meaning of life and death. Tickets for the advertisement-free screening are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Even if your young companions aren't touched by the plights of Steve Guttenberg and Ally Sheedy, it's an opportunity for them to learn — and practice — the "no talking" policy. The last day of Kids' Camp is Sunday. See drafthouse.com for more information.
