Jewell Theatre of William Jewell College, Liberty, Mo., presents Alex
Tracy Is Performance Art, a senior theatre performance written and
performed by senior theatre major Alex Tracy of Liberty.
"Alex Tracy Is Performance Art is strange," the playwright says. "The one-man show strays from the typical format of drama in an attempt to speak to the audience--telling stories, making observations, and trying to
address what makes a performance a performance and what makes art art.
The show follows a winding path, informing people on how to be very
loud, providing advice to budding evil overlords concerning global
domination, pondering giant red buttons and when it is appropriate to
have one, and encouraging the audience to participate creatively in the
world. There will be puns. There will be music. There will be audience
participation. There will be cake. There will be performance art."
