All in the Family

Here's a family event that won't end with drunken tears being spilled after Aunt Judy makes a failed pass at your father's ex-wife. Downtown Lawrence's Wonder Fair Gallery, Shoppe and Studio (803-1/2 Massachusetts, 785-856-3247) is hosting the Wonder Fair Family Show through July 30. The art exhibit features the work of the gallery's directors: Jason Barr, Kelly John Clark, Lee Piechocki and Eric Dobbins. "We will be the only four artists featured in this show, and have never exhibited works together before," Dobbins says. Featured paintings, drawings and prints incorporate symbols represented in Wonder Fair's logo, which include fire, an anvil, an ambiguous pile, and a diamond. "Each member of the Wonder Fair family is directly connected to a specific element. This will be revealed at the exhibition," Dobbins explains. Tonight's opening reception is from 6 to 10 p.m. during Lawrence's Final Friday.
