The bar at All Star is often packed with sports fans watching games on flat screens a typical sight for a sports-focused pub. But nontraditional decorating choices upturned umbrellas emblazoned with team logos hanging from the ceiling and floor tiles arranged to look like a football field give the room a unique feel. The long "family room," on the restaurant side of the bar, revolves around youth athletics; four TVs run slideshows of local kids playing sports as well as ESPN. The All Star menu is family- and budget-friendly, and most dishes are created by hand. The stone-fired pizzas feature toppings out of left field, such as peanut sauce, red-chili chicken and slaw (Thai Pie) or grilled shrimp and chorizo (Shrimpy).
