Amerisports Brew Pub, in the Ameristar Casino, is the granddaddy of Kansas City sports bars. With an atmosphere amenable to fan-frenzied freakouts, it has 52 screens (including 32 plasmas and 13 personal touch screens); a board with up-to-date scores, stats and tournament odds; cheap 23-ounce drafts of five different brewed-on-site beers; and a full menu (served until midnight on the weekends). The staff will accommodate requests for channel changes, making the allure of the cha-ching on the casino floor easier to ignore. If that doesn’t work, they’ll pour to-go cups for pints of Face-Off Pale Ale or Knock Out Blond.
