Good old Anthony’s. This downtown restaurant and bar is the kind of place that screams scuola vecchio stile! (“old school”) the second you walk through the door. As at any good Italian restaurant, you’ll find Rat Pack prints on the wall, Sinatra in the air and many a garlicky dish on the menu. But the best seat in the house is at the curved, heavily shellacked bar. From there, patrons can let the smoky, '70s feel of the place (complete with drop ceiling, fake plants and pink lighting) inform their people-watching.
