If the thought of watching
It's a Wonderful Life for the 100th time makes you want to spew eggnog all over your plasma screen, consider an alternative. At 9:30 p.m., Screenland Crossroads (1656 Washington, 816-421-9700) shows you
Bad Santa. Billy Bob Thornton stars as a small-time thief and big-time drunk who poses as a department-store Santa in order to rob a mall. Among the film's many gifts are Tony Cox as Thornton's filthy-mouthed helper, Lauren Graham as Thornton's slutty love interest, John Ritter (in his last film role) as the suspicious store owner, and Bernie Mac as the crooked mall cop. But the greatest gift of all is Brett Kelly as "the Kid." Kelly is a sweet little butterball of a boy — Ralph Wiggum made flesh. Tickets cost $8.
