Jim Korinke in The Music Man

Jim Korinke's built a career on playing beleaguered straight guys caught in sticky situations. That may sound bland, but remember that it was Jimmy Stewart's career as well. And it was the perfect foundation for his Professor Harold Hill in The New Theatre's The Music Man. Here was a man who couldn't shake your hand without wondering where it last touched money, which made his evolution into a man with a soul all the more stirring.
