Marcy Etter is the kind of bartender from whom we'd like to order drinks anywhere. Etter keeps the drinks coming, without a fuss and always with a smile. She knows the difference between good service and showboating, but don't mistake her down-to-earth style for laziness — Marcy can mix a rare cocktail with the best of them. But let others spin bottles or invent new libations from unicorn tears and rare butterfly nectar. She'd rather serve you than put on a show. That's probably a big reason that so many waiters and bartenders who work on the Plaza hit Fred P. Ott's when their own shifts are done.
