Open for two and a half years, this Grandview bar, owned by Danielle and Gary Ross, has become a haven for area motorcyclists of all stripes, though the orange-and-black décor betrays a partiality to Harley-Davidsons. Live bands play on Saturday nights, and the regular Bike Night and Ladies' Night feature drinks so cheap, we imagine more than a few hogs stay parked in the lot overnight. Ed's Posse, the local riding crew that consistently drums up the most money in the annual March of Dimes' Bikers for Babies fundraiser, has adopted Fathead and Braindead's Saloon as its official hangout, so the place ain't no joke. Neither is the food — the full menu features hand-cut steaks, and we're told that the crowds turn out in force for Thursday night's 75-cent tacos. Though you can still smoke inside, a spacious patio allows folks to air out their leather or play a game of horseshoes. Inside, a gallery of KC native David Mann's paintings immortalizes the pull of the open road.

I come from Florida and bring friends from all over the country to enjoy your food and Spirits. I started coming to Flatheads and Braindeads after talking with Jacquelyn Mann at a swap meet in Belleview, IL a couple of years ago and she was promoting your grand opening and Davids Display. I love and miss David. After just telling my friend about your place he sent me this comment. Needless to say I disagree with "BikerDoll" We will be riding in from Knoxville TN on our way to Sturgis, SD and we are looking forward to my next great steak!!!
In ref to BikerDoll's comment she should go back to being "Barbie doll" and stay away from real bikers. My statement to her is my motto escuad= eat sh t curl up and die.

For $20 on New Years Eve I would expect valet parking, and nothing else. Just valet.

We went there for New's Years Eve, $20 cover for all you can eat and wells and draws from 8-10. The "buffet was horrible" for $20 you would expect something more than regular bar gut food and that wasn't very well prepared or displayed. The crowd was the older biker crowd, and the smoke in the place made it unbreathable. We left early and will not go back until this place is cleaned up.
